Further supporting its zero-waste efforts, the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has started its ban on disposable plastic water bottles. The new initiative bans vendors and tenants from selling or providing free bottled water in plastic. Currently, SFO has over 100 refillable water stations, and will be adding more, for travelers with their own reusable water bottles. Encouraging sustainability practices at events, such as offering water bottles as swag or providing water refill stations, are just some of the ways planners can help with the green initiative.
